Red Velvet Fiasco!

Recently I was preparing for another birthday and ordered a Red Velvet cake for the auspicous occasion. This order was clearly placed by the end of February/early March. Upon confirming the order I was told when I would have this fabulous cake, which is baked by a local baker (I totally love to support entrepreneurs/small bizness). This was a big part of my birthday celebration especially since I was having a private cutting and a cutting at my party. Long story short, the order was not processed and I was cakeless. AHHHH! Thank God my very dear friend ordered one for me for my party however I was still very annoyed. I told myself "I could do this myself". I must have been in my super birthday ego personality. I got a receipe and launched a baking bizness as a result. I launched the bizness at my church during anniversary services (www.fegm.net) and sold Celebratory Jumbo Red Velvet cupcakes for $3.00 each. They were a hit!!! I sold Tuesday-Friday. I even got really savvy and sent out emails for the purposes of taking pre-orders. I was sold out almost every night. So now my birthday cake fiasco resulted into a viable, income generating bizness. How cool is that? Well, I always say, if you get lemons...make Red Velvet!
